NA8 A/C Fan info

Postby bigdog » Thu Feb 21, 2013 6:48 pm

A friend has had the radiator A/C fan motor on her car burn out. I can source an NB fan (4 blade), but I'm not sure if they are different. Anyone here know if it will fit? If not does anyone have a spare NA8 4 blade fan?

Not entirely sure how different the electrical wiring is for NB fan, but looking quickly at the NA6 diagram it should work. Seeing as that fan gets driving from a A/C relay and it shouldn't be different on the NB either. Your only problem is the connector part.

Connector doesn't worry me - I can make that work, more concerned about it physically bolting into place. I don't want to start making brackets etc...

I have an NA, with an NB radiator. My NA A/C and thermo fans bolted directly into place, no brackets or anything needed.
So my situation is the opposite to yours, but they all fit anyway :)
