NA6 compatible Cats.

Postby Pokmx5 » Thu Feb 07, 2013 12:53 pm

Hey Guys,

As i'm preparing the car to be put back on the road, I've been asked to change my cars exhaust as i have straight pipe. Now i could go for the straight swap of the standard cat but i want one that's more free flowing. I eBay'd a few and there seems to be a few MAGNAFLOW ones. BUT what other ones are compatible with the standard NA6? The original one i have i had to gut and the straight pipe allows fumes to come out which over power the smell of nature lol.

Any idea's or recommendations would be great guys, thanks!

None you can buy from ebay. You would need to get some JDM BRAH thing for 500 dollars. I would buy a 2" magbaflow and have a shop welding it in properly.

A cat is a cat is a cat ??? I mean it is only a tube with some exotic metals meshed to do the job.

If it is only flow that is a consideration then any old cat from a performance turbo should do it. The OEM manufacturers would have sorted it, i.e. WRX, Evo, XR6.

AS above.

The only real issue is if you need to pass an emissions test or something.
