I take it you go back for any further modification/change to the engine? Overall, how has the cost compared?

If it was something fairly substantial then yes it would require a retune, not unlike any other ECU. It is however based on flow instead of pressure so it can deal with small changes a little more intelligently than MAP based systems.

I'm a little confused about the cost comparison? Do you mean compared to my previous cars running stand alones?

Also, what logging or gauges do you have with that?

It has a k-line serial interface but it doesn't seem to follow ISO9141. The later model MX-5s can use an OBD2 interface to grab data.

The oil cooler is here and mounted up, just waiting on a new sandwich plate for it before the lines are made up:





I have the Mocal sandwich plate but I wanted to keep the remote oil filter location, so MX-5 Plus are sourcing a GReddy/GREX remote oil filter mount with built-in thermostat.

Stu, it's using the Flyin' Miata brackets so it mounts on the steering rack. Here's a pic with it all mounted:



Jason at MX-5 Plus made up the -10 lines for me, I didn't use the FM -8 ones. I'm using a GREX thermostat sandwich plate as it has provisions for my oil temp and pressure senders.

Consensus on MT.net is that it needs ducting to be effective - FM even recommend it.

I haven't ducted mine but it sits a lot more upright than your one Stu. The next track day will dictate if I add ducting or not!
