Might be prudent to pull the plug early on this one and switch it to end of the month Friday 22nd February.

Good idea unless you recce to see if any road damage - can you believe THREE years in a row around this weekend that we have had this weather? Last year same time 500mm plus and of course 2011 the devasting floods

Awwww... sorry Mr Mike, no sad face pwease.
The roads up there will be littered with shite and it'll take at least a week of clear weather and normal traffic to clear it.

Energex will be up there for a while, and then they will be able to start on repairing the road, which will take months, even going flat out.

Ah crap. Does that mean the road will be smoother or more patchworked?
I was gonna go for a leisure drive during the week next week, so I'll take it easy and sus out the situation.

Just heard on 4BC 'Truck Roll-over' on Mt Glorious Road, no more details than that

must be going at a good clip and nudged a wall.
Nate, I am crossing fingers, toes, and eyes that the re-surfacing they've been doing over the last couple of years means it repels water and minimises the production of holes. Before the resurface, whenever there's decent rain, you can count on there being a dozen new sizeable holes.

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Mt Glorious Rd remains closed between Alex Road & Wivenhoe-Somerset Rd due to safety issues from debris on the road & landslips.
Probably still ok for a drive (to conditions of course) up Nebo Rd and including Samford Rd but Mt Glorious Rd is closed towards the end of the town deep within the forest. How about a BYO night; comfy fold up chair and your favorite none alcoholic brew, instead of the usual over priced coffee, that money could go towards the flood donation instead, it's a win win

The Missus and I may be going for a leisurely drive up to Jolly's early Sunday morning (Leaving Cootha around 7am) - depending on weather.
If anyone is interested at tagging along, PM me. Nothing exciting, just going to scope out the roads for myself
