SS11's 93 NA6

Postby SS11 » Sun Jan 27, 2013 4:39 pm

Recently purchased this 93 NA6 for a bit of a hobby and to fill a void from having company car... was not looking for a car in perfect condition, but was looking for a resonable example that had not been mucked around with to much.... all in all pretty happy with my choice, and there are enough "little" things to do to keep me busy for a little while...

Replaced the Tan seats, with Black leather NB seat.. as well as replaced the NA carpet, and replaced the Racing beat style bar with a twin loop bar... I liked the look of the racing beat bar, but it was in the way of the window zip, and in the way when lowering or raising the roof...
Also replaced the stereo, gear knob, upper and lower gearbox boots, gaiter and handbrake cover and shocks & springs.... going to run out of cheap things to tinker with soon..

Looks good Shane, go the red NA's :)

Where did you get the front lip from? It's on my short list of things to buy, I've noticed quite a few ebay sellers have them, don't know if the quality varies between them.

Thanks, just got the front lip last week from a US seller on Ebay, ended up around the $120 mark delivered... pretty happy with the quailty and fit. if you search seller"genkiracingsports" on ebay.com you will find.

Checked and set my ignition timing today, found the last person that thought they were advancing the timing to 14 deg BTDC, managed to retard it instead.... Running much better and responsive now!...

Also fitted Red LEDs in the instruments :) got to love Ebay...

Fitted new door pulls (from OMGpham), was not to sure about them before ordering, but needed to replace my OEM ones regardless. Very happy with the kit, and above all adds a little space in the cabin.
Also had a small alteration done on my Tonneau cover to accomadate the rear bar (Megatrim in Dandenong... great service, and price)...

Finally, rewired and got "fog" lights up and running, with factory switch.. Also changed Diff and Gearbox oil, found a few little bits and pieces of metal in Gearbox :( guessing sooner or later I will be changing the gearbox...
Also fitted new stainless exhuast from Cat back, not quite so loud, and less raspy.

Couple of new items.. Indicator / intakes, and rear lip to match the front, both easy fits..

Also fitted NA8 mirrors after a bit of enlargement to hole in door
