I wish more owners of cars like that were regular forum users.

Probably too busy in the garage or race track to post here much or too busy at work trying to pay for race meetings and sticky tyres.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I apologise for not being a forum whore... I have no problem divulging information about what I have done but I do not believe it is necessary nor do I have the time to pollute the internet with my every thought. You are pretty close to the mark Okibi, there have been many an hour spent on either the car itself or at that other place where the money comes from and very few to spare. As for the race track I have had it there a few times in recent memory, it is still in the relatively early stages of attempting to set it up nicely but I was quite pleased with going 59.3 at Lakeside just a couple of days ago.

Thanks for the compliments people. If I get a chance sometime I might put up a thread in garage if people are interested in other details of the car. In the meantime here is an image taken of the interior after I finished the cage.

Cheers,

Tim

I was lucky enough to take it for a drive.
Goes like a rocket, no lag and just goes hard. The best bit IMO, is it was all hand built by the owner. Cage, turbo set up, lock stock the lot.
Gets my "Burt" Munro award.

I can think of a bunch of guys who've made similar or more power that are members here.

I know three of the owners of what have been or still are amongst the most powerful NA bodied, B-series engined MX5s in the country are still on here regularly, but choose not to post for whatever reasons.

I know of a few show ponies and other cars who dont prove themselves at the track, and a few who I believe have left myths about their cars. But its good to see proper high powered cars that get raced.

There's plenty of myths on all forums mate, and while I'd prefer to see a car that gets dríven too, you've gotta respect a guy or girl who builds the car to suit their own wants and needs.

That said, every car and owner I was thinking of has plenty of driving under their belt, both on and off the track.

Back to the topic though...

You first. Would like to see some sheets of this 400hp monster 1.6 you claim to have built(or was that one you blew up) .
I will gladly supply videos of MY car if your interested, I sure you weren't referring to me though. But for someone so persistent about search engines there are videos of BOTH of my cars online. Let alone all the details about my third place in the Australian Street Car of The Year Competition. Sean refers to the people don't post here any more and that's unfortunately because of you Dan and the dribble you regurgitate from miata turbo. People that have been on here for a lot longer than you or I, regardless of how many posts they have made, DON'T need your advise, besides it's about quality not quantity.
Sorry to be so blunt but this place use to be fun, no one attacking people due to difference of opinion, and anyone forcing their opinion onto others was quickly dismissed. If I've overstepped the line than you can delete this post but anyone with similar feelings feel free to post.

Lets keep this thread to supercharger and turbo setups.

There are many who have proven track records such a CT and Tyron who don't post here any more and that's a sad shame.

This isn't a pissing contest, people don't need to prove anything.

I want people to enjoy the forum not have to come here to defend their power figures, race results or deal with enthusiasts who feel every MX-5 should be like theirs.

In the same token I understand users frustrations because the friendly nature of our forum is being compromised over childish one-upmanship. Can everyone please keep making an effort to be diplomatic and avoid personal attacks.
