Hi guys, first of all I need to thanks everyone in this forum, although I didn't join for a long perior and I have got so many help and answered from you guys, so I believe it is my time to contribute to you guys this time.
So first I was getting a trimmer to help me to rewrap my seats on NB(they are amazingly good, let me know if you want know more about them), and the owner was suggesting me to renew the carpet with the high quality one, and I have looked it myself, seriously it is nice and comfortable, so I want to get one too, however he get back to me after a few days and said they don't have moulded carpet for NB,(by the way if you got a NA I think you should get that carpet done,it cost only $300). So I searched on internet and look for a moulded carpet for NB, and I found that many people are asking/looking for the same thing, then I realised that they stop making carpet for NB because of NB have Mk2 and Mk2.5, so their carpet are not perfect fit for one of them(I don't know which one, maybe both), therefore they stopped making moulded carpet for NB.
But this is not for me start a new topic for, and I believe most of you already know this unfair truth :'(
Well when I about to stop searching it, I was in 5+ pages of google search(can't remember which page, and most people won't even look at that further back)
I found a British website that sale moulded carpet for NB, and this is what I am bring you guys today, please have a look guys and discuss about it, maybe we can all have a new carpet for our NB today

PS: the trimmer I was mentioning is in Burswood, Perth. Sorry, if you are not in WA. Remember to let me know if you want to retrim your interior, they did really good and maybe is the cheapest in Perth for that high quality make.
Is NB carpet COME IN NOW !!!!

Re: Is NB carpet COME IN NOW !!!!
I just NB8A carpet into my NA6. it fits perfectly, except for that I had to cut too slits for the seat belt stalk to come from the tranmission tunnel.
What year model is your NB? and why would you want to upgrade NB carpet? its already really nice as it is.

Mine one is NB8B made in late 2000, so it is the NB come with fog lights, for some reason that trimmer's friend told me they only have moulded carpet up to 99 NB, after that nothing at all, and he is very sure that 99 and late 2000(2001) interior are different, I trust him because he is a Japanese and he knows ALL the manufacture company in Japan, thats why I wouldn't risk to buy a 99 NB carpet to put in my 00 NB, and the carpet that they do are really high quality, if you notice you will find that your carpet are actually come with the matt and on the driver side matt have a black vinyl(not sure, maybe is leather) square for your shoes, but the one they do is that black square are actually build on the carpet and the carpet they use is really thick and easy to clean, dirt or dust or whatever small little sand will not "hide" into the carpet while you brush, vacuum the carpet, and I mean thick is like a blanket that comfortable, its cost only $300 for that is very reasonable(including labour and GST)
As I said, if I could do it I will do it, but their latest model is 99NB :'(

Re: Is NB carpet COME IN NOW !!!!
I don't think there are any differences between NB model carpets, i've had most later NB interior pieces in my 98 NB.
I think the later NBs had more reinforcement welded in to improve chassis rigidity but i don't think these have effected the carpet at all.
So i'm 99.3% sure the 99NB carpet will fit in your 2001.
How much did it cost to have your seats re-trimmed? Can you please provide some photos?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

A pair of seats cost me $1750 with real leather, ALL the colour you can choose it by yourself, stitch can choose double or single, colour of the stitch can be choose as well, many different material can be choose, even carbon fiber, the reason I think they are good is because they can make the carbon fiber really tied to the seat and as you know carbon fiber is not really stretching but they can make it really nice.
Sorry I cannot take a photo of my seats because I want mine to be unique, perhaps you can see my car when I join MX5 club
By the way the one I order are with diamond shape on it, it should be 30% extra cost, well if you could afford $1750 for retrimming the seats why not add another couple hundred for the diamond shape.
I don't want say the shop name in here, otherwise its sound like advertisment, just PM me if you guys want more info.

The idea behind a carpet is to get some MX5 mats to protect them ie sacrificial. Anyway the costs quoted are exxy and you can probably still buy OEM covers for NB's.

So is the link that I found is good or bad? I am planning to order one but what do you guys think? Order from the factory is going to be expensive for sure, so why not just spend less and get different material?

Agree - what about a good used NB8 carpet - bound to be one at one of our sponsors below, or on ebay.
