which short shifter is better?

Hey guys, does anyone know which of the following shifter is the best?

I have the miataroadster one (tall/angled) and have no complaints.

their price are big different, one is 300 and other one is half of that price

As I have not used the mx5parts I can not comment on how it compares to the miataroadster's. Miataroadster does supply spare parts for the one it sells so this could be a factor in your decision.

Mine from miataroadster was delivered quickly, was packaged well, had complete instructions plus it was a taken from my 5 speed box and put into my 6 speed box. The tall/angled version puts the gear knob closer to the steering wheel whilst still making the throw less than standard. My only complaint with the tall/angled is that it can obscure the gauges (above the radio) when in 3rd and 5th.

However if price is an issue maybe the question needed to be rephrased to "Hey guys, does anyone know which of the following shifter is the best value for money?"

seems like the mx5parts.co.uk one is the il motorsports version which you can probably get on ebay. it doesnt come with the top rubber boot which adds another 40-50 bucks too.

I have purchased two of the MiataRoadster tall / angled kits. I can not really fault the service or the quality of the kit. The first one I bought was shipped with the wrong bit that goes on the end so Bill shipped a replacement out with priority freight free of charge.

The shift feel has been improved immeasurably and having the gear knob right next to the steering wheel is fantastic for fast road and track use. Search on places like miata.net and there are dozens of happy customers.

'Fraid not Apu...The first one is in my old race car, its owner is also entirely in love with it.

They are not cheap that is for sure but very much worth the spend in my opinion.

Whichever you go for, make sure it comes with a correct sized bottom bush to avoid rattles. If the supplier can't assure you of this, look elsewhere.

Another vote for the MiataRoadster one.
The kit comes complete with both rubber boots which many other kits don't include!

I have used the stock height version for the past 18 months and am very happy with it.
The GLW can also manage it quite successfully.

I bought the MiataRoadster short version first and upgraded to the long-angled version, as recommended by Bill from MiataRoadster when I bought the short version, which I now prefer - hand-travel from steering wheel to gearknob is minimised and it feels much easier to change gears.

Either version is an upgrade over the OEM stick but like Bill, I now recommend the long-angled version.
