Wouldn't it depend how you wire the kill switch? On an mx5 i think that would actually be really easy to wire up that way!

10 - Each automobile of the 2nd and 3rd Category shall be equipped with a battery isolation (master) switch which isolates the battery and stops the engine. It shall be capable of being operated by the driver in his normal seated position. There must be a second switch, or a remote means of operating the main switch, from the vicinity of the base of the A pillar on the driver’s side or, for an automobile with no A pillar, in a comparable position. This external device shall be clearly marked by a symbol showing a red spark in a white-edged blue triangle of minimum edge length 150mm.

Out of interest I have a Cartek one installed and it is great, simple button push to isolate and easy to reset from inside the cabin

Probably didn't explain it clearly,
from the point of the battery kill switch (usually at the dash) forward will be "dead" when you pull the pin, but from the switch back to the battery
is still alive unless you run the switch at the battery.
I run a separate switch at the positive terminal AS WELL.
Thus the key in the boot!!!

I have not stirred up such interest in my post since the RED CALIPER COVERS controversy of last year. Although it seems pointless to have a blue triangle without a key in the boot at least. However, despite this, what I plan on doing is; place the blue triangle with one side running north south (for those pedants the car will also be facing north or south). This will be beside the boot opening which means that the point that is facing east, or west if the car is facing south, will point to the right side rear wheel. For those of you who may travel from interstate to observe the result I will be at Winton on the 9th & 10th of February next month. And for those of you who may still be yearning for RED CALIPER COVERS. They were advertised in the U.S.Road & Track last November. No price given but they are U.S. $249.00 plus postage. You know you want them.

Seems clear to me and I'm surprised that no one has picked it up before
If it's a race car and you want it to go as fast as it can then the you have to point the triangle to the front
