Quick photo shoot at the end of the day.
It proves that even a piece of sh*t hard top can look good with good lighting

Vic, they are really excellent shots!
Personally I would try not to over do it with the sepia though. While it suits the interior car shot, the sepia tone detracts from the others. I think they are great photos and they don't need it at all. At the very least the sepia needs to be toned down more or go classic street black 'n' white.
Sorry I'm not trying to lecture you!
pm me if you have any questions
The other shots on Flickr are great and should be on here too!

No worries and thanks for your compliments. I personally love sepia and black&white shots so I do overuse them a fair bit.
To the others - did everyone have a good time?
What should we do more or less of next time?
Ideas of improvements?
Maybe this can be turned into a club event in the future...

The location was excellent, lots of space and private. The only downside was the intense heat on the day and lack of shade for everyone. There was not much detailing happening because of this.
Maybe next time we should do this on either on an overcast day, in the late afternoon or if possible - a place with plenty of under cover area (i know hard to find...).
If we can accomplish above, we can all get on with our detailing efficiently and we can allocate areas for different steps e.g. washing area, barge sticker application area.
Another thought; the more knowledgeable detailing guys might enjoy running quick how-to classes during the day e.g. detailing basics, engine-bay basics, interior basics, under car.
There should be a photography session at the end of the day. We spend all the time making the cars look pretty with nothing to show for it! Please take a photo before you drive out on the dusty road.
That's all i can think of. What do you all think

yep had a good time - it's been a while so nice to catch up with you guys again.
finally got around to use the clay kit i bought 4 years ago.
perhaps more people should actually do some detailing next time?
i liked the location also - lots of private space, although shade was a bit limited
thanks for organising guys

yep, while I was only there for the morning, thought it was a great. Just wondering what the possibility of say taking over a service bay at a dealership would be on a Sunday to wash, detail and share knowledge.

I agree, Niel and myself had a great time taking shots as the sun dropped. Majority missed out.
As for the location, we are more than welcome to keep using it. My old man has no issues and enjoys the company tbh. He gets a chance to view all the various vehicles.
