Re: NBA pink lights fix?
I have long seen pink in the NB8A lights, i suggest maybe it isn't as noticeable on red cars coz there's so much red.. Or would the red paint "bring out" the pink in the lens?

A clear acrylic will have no tint that you would readily notice ie it looks clear. The pink in the P1 is there because the designers intended it.

I'm not agreeing with you on the "wont make a difference" mr m, but a globe with a coloured tint or chrome glass finish (as aftermarket it is) can and does make a difference to the colour of its housing/reflectors..
Where i live, in the land of bogans, there are many vl commodores that roam the streets, many with p plates and many with coloured condoms over the parker globes or tinted blue bulbs in the headlight housings (blue tint for that "white" look when on, yes inverted comas) the entire reflector is hued toward the bulbs colour (obviously when the globe is not powered on) It's more then noticeable in daylight, and very apparent when the vehicle is facing toward direct sunlight..
Changing the globe to a tinted type, even sticking in blue coloured cellophane scrunched into a stick shape and wedged into into the globes hole will EASILY test if the NB's reverse section pink hue changes. If it works, great, if it doesn't, then more drastic changes would be in order should the OP choose to accept that mission.

Exactly.
The coloured globe won't change the colour of the reflector, but it can change the way it appears to the eye.
Take a very dark grey piece of card.
Hold it against a white sheet of paper, the dark grey appears black.
Hold the same card against a completely black sheet of paper, the grey card now appears lighter and quite obviously grey.
The card has not changed colour, but the way it's colour is interpreted is changed.

Not sure where any of that leads us. Its a good lamp- its functional and its legal. If its a back up it needs to be clear / white light. I am aware of diadem bulbs etc but that's another story with some complications such as having a different base config
