2012 Club Motor Sport Awards

Postby JBT » Fri Jan 04, 2013 4:09 pm

The awards presentation for the MX-5 Club Qld 2012 motor sport competition is planned to be held on Saturday 19 January 2013.

There will be a sausage sizzle at Automotive Plus who have very kindly made their facilities at 605 Zillmere Road, Aspley available for the event. Map link: http://goo.gl/maps/PxLxw

Commencement time to be advised in the coming days but expect mid to late morning. Update: 11:00 am

So, make sure you’re there to receive your award or congratulate the 2012 winners and to welcome in the 2013 motor sport competition year. This is also a great opportunity for prospective club motor sport competitors to come along and talk to the current players.

RSVP required for catering. Please notify Mark compsecmx5@miata.net.au or 0410 415 873 before Friday 18 Jan 13.

Zero
The Group 1 guys get along great - everyone finding their spot in the group so minimising overtaking.
But very competitive. As is Group 2.
I see at last Lakeside, 11 drivers in 65 - 66sec range!
If you have an off day, you can easily drop several rankings.

Cars like Charlies and John Ts are always going to be a bit quicker than those of us using our daily drivers in track spec.
But great to see how quick they can go.

ps look forward to seeing your car up here Regie

True Stu, then you have to say 'Just how much do I spend?' It's fun to me, if I can gain another 0.25 secs during 2013 I will be happy!! If someone goes faster, so be it, just try harder but play safe - currently my 'DD'

Love to have you guys up for a run .. accommodation available for both of you, NOT the Sheraton but the cat sleeps OUTSIDE!!

PS: Quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by mostly 'retired' people!!
