Its the stock B6t ecu, running stock B6t injectors, with a stock B6t turbo... stock afm, stock fuel pump...

You would have to guess its in limp mode.
Stock afm is a hot wire type? Is it dirty?

AFM is a spring loaded flap.
TPS is just a switch on the early B6t's, which is what this is... it seemed to be better when I directly shorted it out.. but that may have just been because the car had warmed up...

I think the lack of cold idle compensation, and the fact the idle speed was set to about 800rpm, has resulted in the fuel not atomising properly..
I've increased the idle to 1000rpm, and it seems to be better, so I'll give it another go tomorrow and see what happens.

You could fit a spark plug to the tip of your muffler and wire it to power and a switch on your dash, for instant flames!

Its still not right.
It appears my AFM has been messed with before... the cover has been removed, so chances are the spring tension has been twiddled...
I've ordered an Innovate MTX-L, so I'll see what that says, and maybe adjust the air flow meter from there...
I was considering buying another AFM, but I'll wait till the meter arrives before I do anything else ;)

I believe my cold idle enrichment is stuck on...
My TPS switch doesn't always work...
AFRs seem to be a bit all over the place... which is what makes me think the TPS doesn't always close the switch when coasting. Sometimes in the 10's, other times high 14's/low 15's.

I would go about eliminating possibilities, starting from the free/cheapest and working up to the more expensive/labor intensive.
1) take off and clean your cold start valve which is on the inlet manifold, and your idle speed control valve. You can do this with carby cleaner and an spare hour.
2) whilst your coolant is drained for step 1, check that your thermostat is working - take it out and pop it in a cup of boiling water. If it opens its working, if it doesnt open but a new one, they are less than $20 from repco.
3) make sure your cold idle is correct, should be around 900, use the diagnostics box method.
4) check your tps, take off the black cover, its really simple, just some copper probes that touch or not at idle or wot. I can remember off the top of my head but I'm sure there is info on here/google.
If its not connecting as it should, buy a known working 2nd hand one.
5) buy a 'new' afm, 2nd hand ones come up here all the time, i'm presuming its the same as an NA6 afm.
