Who here has one of these?
Tamiya M04-m!
I've had it for ages but only finished putting it together the other night. I'm pretty proud of my efforts Though I think it's a bit weak Tamiya make you cut the decals out yourself Aside from that, I'm pretty happy with the kit. Thanks heaps to Jace for buying me the missing electrical crap I was missing
I still have some 'teething' problems to sort out though. The rage is pretty dodgey and the power saps in forward gear after half a min but reverse stays powerful... But it's a work in progress. It bloody flies though! I have a Tamiya TT01-D Type-E E30 M3 as well to drift and it's got nothing no the power the M-chasis makes.

Do you plan on tracking it, or will it just be your daily drive?
So jealous; where did you manage to get it? I've seen a few floating about the interwebz.
Also, some very impressive reading material you have there

Go nuts....!!! Might suggest getting the sealed baring kit.... It dose wonders in the M-chassis series
P.s the M chassis guy is located in Melbourne so the parts will get to you pretty fast.

I have the NB shell but i've avoided the RC car to go with it or i'd end up going nuts with shiny parts. Kids have the Wild Dagger and Twin Detonator so if I needed an RC car to break I could borrow theirs.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Where would you get a NB Chassis? I've seen the NA ones around but would love to make a NB

Me.
As my NA had the OEM Front lip spoiler, I purposely left extra lexcen cutout on the front bumper to represent the front lip spoiler. Although in the RC, I kept it slightly bigger. Plus I painted the lower door sills black (again as in my NA8)

What I've seen is an NB shell and then simply mount that on an RC. Though, in you case probably get the shell first then measure the wheel base and get a kit that best fit that size. Tamiya or HPI are some of the most popular kit. Thus body shells, tends to be designed to fit those RCs. The most popular chassis from Tamiya seems to be the TT01 chassis. This chassis can be seen on a lot of their road and rally model RCs.

Re: Who here has one of these?
I love the body lines on yours Hammer! Did you go over them in sharpie or paint? I did the same with mine using a grey lead because I figured it would be subtle but you'd see the panel gaps still. I think I look the semi cartoon looking darker lines in yours more though.
The yellow looks rad on yours too Boyracer, also thanks for the pedal box it has made the car a joy to drive again . You should darken the panel gaps like ours though, it makes it look more like a car rather than a painted shell. To me, it really finishes it off.
I can't believe how fast this thing is out of the box though!

It's been a while now since I did mine, but if I remember correctly, I did the lines using a very fine permanent marker (.3 or .5mm size if I remember rightly). I did the lines under the shell prior to painting it.
