Rear bumper question
Hi guys, I am thinking to install the dual exhausts for my 2001 NB8B, and as you know there are only one hole/space on the bumper, so I am thinking of the newer model like the 2005 rear bumper that have dual exhausts hole, will this be possible? Acually I saw a NB in Victoria Park (WA), I saw a red NB (I guess it is a NB, cause I only can see from the rear) with a rear bumper that looks like NC, but I am not so sure, maybe it is a 2005 NB, but well just stick with the question, is that possible to replace the bumper with the NC one?

Re: Rear bumper question
It won't fit, you could try and modify the standard bumper to suit.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Rear bumper question
the nc is a completely different car, it wont fit at all, look at the difference in rear panels alone, the nc has really flared guards.
If your paying an exhaust shop to fit one for you, they can cut the bumper.
Its not hard with a couple of tools and measurements, its definately possible to diy

Re: Rear bumper question
Many people fit twin exit exhausts to na and nb models. you simply cut the second hole to match the first one. There is of course no good reason other than loks to run a twin exotic system.

Re: Rear bumper question
so should I just cut a small hole like this original one or cutout the lower half just like the NC?

Re: Rear bumper question
just a tiny curve in the left side of the bumper is all you need.
The nc doesnt have a cut out section, its just a different texture plastic that is black and not the body colour, like a little diffuser.

Re: Rear bumper question
I am with Dann on this one. Why bother it does not do anything practical- adding more piping is going to attract a cost plus the car was never designed for it. The NC was designed for it but the car still does not have a sporty note.

Re: Rear bumper question
The only compatability is the side indicator lenses, energy thing else is new.
