That would probably happen with any other tow hook too

I've got Benen tow hooks, and I've used the rear one as a jacking point a few times with no problems.

Tow hooks are not made to take vertical loads only horizontal ones, lifting half a car on some 3mm steel <10mm wide is never going to end well.

Never seen someone jack their car from the tow hook before.

Sidefusers look great.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Tow hooks are ment to be one of the stronger points of a car

Yes, for TOWING (horizontal movements). It will fail if you are putting approx 500kgs (half the cars weight) onto a point a few centimetres wide.

I jack my car up by the tow hooks all the time and do so at work and I've never seen anything like that happen

Luck. I would never put any part of my body under there.
In all my years of hanging around workshops, watching motorsport, I've never seen anyone use the towhooks to jack.

On a standard tow hook, could be OK. The rear tow hook is one of the jacking points on my Integra.
