I've also have an ASI, and used ASI in my previous cars. Never had any issues.

I just fitted a 42mm ASI to my '93 NA, the original radiator finally gave up the ghost. The ASI is not too bad a fit (for $155 deivered in a few days I'm not going to argue), the tabs for the upper retaining bolts didn't line up with the tapped holes but I think little judicious bending might cure that. One thingsI didn't allow for was that the ASI has a bigger capacity so I need to drain some of the diluted coolant and replace it with concentrate to get the 50/50 recommended.

Yes I found that the tabs didn't sit exactly right but they were no real issue to tighten. There was more problem with the fan mounting points; I couldnt get the passenger side to sit properly! I've fixed it in a dodgy "she'll be right mate" way though.
I stopped filling the tank at 6 liters as that seemed to be almost full, but I ran a 33/66 blend.

Loosening the mounting bracket on one side of the new radiator, lining up the mounting hole and fitting the bolt and retightening the bracket to the radiator fixed it perfectly.

I meant to say I bought genuine hoses (top and two lower), they cost almost as much as the radiator :D

I'm thinking of buying an ASI radiator for my NB8A this week, as the top tank is quite brown and I don't really want to risk it on the track..

Did anyone verify whether the 42mm eBay ones will fit, or should I go for the 52mm one?
The track day is this weekend, so I might have to go with the brown tank and do lots of cool laps if I can't get a clear picture of which one I need.

Any help would be great, guys :)

Yep I got a 42mm one that fitted my NB. Trick is though they don't list the one you need on ebay - get into contact with ASI and they should be able to supply you one however (they did for me).

Been in contact with them and they seem to insist that the 52mm one listed for sale on eBay is for an NB..

Should I just buy one of the 42mm ones (listed as being for an NA)?
Pretty confused right now :P

There is this 52mm one, if that's what they're talking about.
The 42mm ones listed for an NA WON'T be compatible with an NB. All I did was ask for one to fit a 98-05 model and they were happy to send one along.

I personally wouldn't get a 52mm one. It's pretty large so it would impede airflow a bit; it's just an unecessary size.

52mm is massive overkill even for fairly modified or hard dríven cars. Plus it gives you less space for intake piping etc.

I run 52mm with front ducting and no undertray or fans. It works very well.

Its good for me because this allows me to pull the car apart very very quickly.

Thanks for the info guys, I've sent the seller another message to ask if they do NB ones in 42mm.
If they don't, I guess I'll have to get the 52mm and try to fit it in there.

Cheers!

I recommend ASI , the Nissan silvia guys have been using them for years no probs too.
