Show me your interiors.

Postby the_darkside » Tue Dec 04, 2012 9:44 pm

I want to see peoples' interiors, whether its stripped out, completely redone, painted, different colours, clean stock.

Couldn't find a thread on it so I figured I make one, i'll start, nothing exciting, but its started.

So I have a Voodoo handbrake handle and gear knob in piano black, made a cubby box and trimmed it in houndstooth and my armrest I padded and trimmed as well, needs to be redone though. Painted my ashtray, and changed out the interior lights, not that you can see them, also painted my cluster hood but it doesn't look much different. Sorry for the poor photo.

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that one. Yes it is, I got it second hand on the forum. The standard console was always in my way during track driving and my elbow always landed in a cup holder if I wanted to rest my arm. The cup holders were useless anyway, you can not change gear or rest your arm anywhere with anything in them.

It fits okay, the rear of it could do with a way of fixing it down to the transmission tunnel but its not going anywhere.

Pity it didn't come with a matching brown dash (ie. matching the steering)instead of the standard black dash.

How hard would it be keeping that clean though!

Nope, just wanna see people's interiors, I've got mine planned out. Beige looks pretty good, like how they come with the matched handbrake and shift boots.

I think it would cost more to have a matching brown dash. Have to ask Mazda ergonomics department why they didn't offer the brown dash.

The beige seats would attract dirt fairly easily. I've beige seats in my NB and it needs cleaning regularly to remove the dark spots. It gets worse when dríven with the top down.

Are you attending JBT's run tomorrow night?

Most of the interior came from forum members (door trims, leather seats) I made the console myself. Currently making new cluster and will put it in my garage chat once I decide which way to go (vintage or custom).
