Re: Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster
Update!
About a month ago Speedhunters were on the look out for photo of MX5/Eunos/Miatas from all over the world. I emailed them some photos of mine on the off chance, knowing that it wouldnt get picked. The article went up and low and behold mine had been chosen! (about half way down)
http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/11/miata-featurethis/
My LED bulbs came through the post so got round to fitting them in the dash. They light up a treat! Just need to trim abit of the dash to light up the bottom left corner abit more, but who needs to see under 2k rpm anyway
(forgot to clean the perspex lenses...oops!)
Yesterday was an early Christmas for me
Alloy Radiator from Japspeed
Twin 10" Slim Fans
1.8 Open Diff,Driveshafts and Propshaft
Alloy Washer Bottle
Today me and a friend fitted the Radiator
I forgot i needed the fan shroud,so i fitted the original fan back on for now untill i can get some.
Also fitted an Alloy Washer Bottle from MX5Dan
Even had time to split the 1.8 diff and cleaned it up ready for drifting. Didnt realise how much of a difference there is between the 1.6 and 1.8 diffs, looks like the 1.8 diff will be ALOT easier to weld up Happy days!

Would be a problem Regie, not sure what the salt does to snow but glad it don't snow here!! Then again that NA could be up to 23-24 years old by now

Re: Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster
To get the tacho to completely light up you need to break up some of the plastic behind the gauge face.
As per revlimiters write up.
its about half way down the page.

Re: Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster
The MX5 passed the MOT today,so another 12 months of motoring on its way!
Treated myself to a GoPro Hero 3 a few weeks ago. Only just got round to buying a new memory card and have a mess about.
My Mocal 13 row Oil Cooler,Thermostatic Sandwich Plate and Braided lines arrived today:
Will be starting on the re-wiring of the centre console in just over a week's time,so hopefully that'll be done soon

Look forward to the footage
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster
I had the same issue with the cluster lighting:
I think any cluster housing that doesn't come standard with a "resting 6 o'clock" position will have this issue. But like you've said, who cares about that part of the rev range!
timk wrote:One other change I've made is swapping to a JDM tacho; it makes the redline area much easier to see with your peripheral vision on track days:
It is an easy swap to do however you will find the 0-2 area not as well lit as the rest of the gauge. The Australian cluster doesn't have anything in this area so there's no provisions for a bulb or light to get through. I don't find it to be a problem.

Re: Hoodedreeper's Eunos Roadster
Ordered a new Number Plate bracket from Jass Performance because the old wonky one was doing my head in!
While i was out and about i tested out the new GoPro and caught this image
You may remember me cutting my dashboard about and the Custom Centre Console i had made up. Me and a friend finally got round to fitting/wiring it!
Still need to tidy up a couple of things but its almost done. As you can see we pulled the carpet out while we were there too
