Clutch Issue?

Postby npw112 » Sat Dec 01, 2012 5:21 pm

My car won't change gears when the engine is running. When it is off its changes fine.

When car is in gear and clutch is pressed in the car will creep forward.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Loss of clutch hydraulic fluid. Check the levels and find the leak - most likely the slave cylinder. Search for the underlined terms on this forum and you will get heaps of hits

First check is slave, next is master or hydraulic line.

Thanks guys. It was the clutch slave cylinder.

Got a new one from MX5 Plus for $90.

Love how cheap these cars are to maintain :o
