i'd be tempted to put one of those oil flushes through it also. 16 month old oil has gotta be all crushed up inside the oil galleries by now.

If the HLA clicking noise persists you might want to consider using Nulon Lifter Free - a number of forumites have found it useful:

Re: Clicking and high oil pressure! Help!
Hi guys,
Minxie had an oil and filter change the other day. Would have got a full service but couldn't afford it. Anyway, the oil pressure was immediately back to normal. We're keeping her at home now so gets dríven more often. I've noticed the last couple days when I've taken her shopping that the oil pressure is up around just over 4 until about 10 minutes of driving then its back down around 2. Is this ok? Does it mean she needs something else done or is it normal? Will keep the nulon lifter in mind for the next oil change. There is no clicking now

Is this happening at idle or at higher revs? Oil pressure is lower at idle than at higher revs once warmed up.

Normal. Oil pressure will reduce as revs reduce and/or as engine temp increases
