yea i have previously tried the bonnet seal shim and i recall it making a diff though i mean the air is still warmer than the ambient air temp given the wind chill factor while moving and dont get me started on the weak a/c.......

though i will definelty be under the steering wheel tomorrow to see if i can further close that flap or whatever it is.

to OP thanks for the post!

At the end of the day there is a lot of heat coming from the tranmission tunnel which we are sitting right next to. Without aircon

very true!
though its good in winter........

tried that heater cable mod today I think it did close the heater matrix's flap a little but no major change noticed could of been some what of a placebo affect too though.

What was that mentioned earlier in thread about insulating the a/c lines earlier is there a guide on that?

Having just spent a fortune having my airconditioning replaced and then dríven around on a couple of reasonable hot days recently, I was somewhat disappointed. At first, I put it down to an unfair comparison to my Tarago's airconditioning which has always been unbelievable no matter how hot it gets!!

But earlier today I read this thread. So this afternoon I gave the cable adjustment a try and the door definately wasn't closing completely so I have adjusted it. Haven't tried it out yet, Mexie was jammed in at the end of the drive by our other cars, but fingers crossed it gets a bit cooler.

So anyway .... having followed the instructions ..... how many of us took the glovebox out first

Maybe try these if you're still not getting enough air?
