Minx

For the sake of 10 mins or so, roof DOWN!! If you like I can borrow the lady next doors wide brimmed hat for you to wear over your helmet!! Not sure if you can remove the bananas, oranges and pears, bunch of grapes and slice of watermelon!! All plastic of course but it should look fine on you!!

Coastal showers forecast but I take no notice, just watching a storm brewing down around Killarney/Boonah area - not sure how far that will run and what direcction!

Great day, I believe there were 42 cars in total. Apart from the usual MX5, there were excels, celica, silva, Kia, Abarth and a Lexus.

Here are a few photos taken from turn 4.

Another BIG day!!! And HOT
Good safe, fun day for most of us.
My poor turbo didnt like the heat - about 8-10kph slow down the straight.
Time for an upgrade???? :D

All Club Championship results off with the Compsec now
Guess we will have to wait for the Presentation BBQ next year.

I think it's a very sensible decision, when you get home just explain, you are not just doing it for yourself, your doing it for Australia!!!

Excellent day!!

Maybe a little hot, same as MINX mine wasn't that happy down the main straight but OK everywhere else!! Finally got to within 0.05 of my PB but just couldn't grab it!!

Special thanks to Mark our Competition Secretary, Paul & Cathy who looked after the starting procedures, Marian Tait and Kelvin who did the flagging and the QR Staff - a job well done by all

Great to see a roll-up of some 42 cars, NO bingles although a few suffered from spins!

Well done to Ben in his black NA having his very first run, he managed to dial in a 1:13 in the last run, also to all the others also having their first run

Thank you to all who have supported the Club's Track Days this year, in particular the 'Other Makes' guys who have supported us all the way thru the year - your attendance is so much appreciated!

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!

First event next year is an afternoon session at Lakeside on Monday 21 January 2013 - put it in the diary!

Was a great day and bloody hot!

I got a reasonable time on the second run but did not improve much on that, got my quickest on the last run as it started to cool down a little. I need to have a bit of a look at the datalogs and work out how quick it was going exactly, it was really moving coming into hungry, but it was hitting the 7300 limiter through the kink which is about 220kph  I think it might nearly be time to look at changing diff ratio from my beloved 4.3

Thanks to all who organised and volunteered we all appreciate what you guys do so we can go play.

Cheers,

Tim

Well done on the 60sec laps Tim - that thing of yours is awesomely fast
I watched in horror one lap where you were in front of me on the str8 and dissapeared very rapidly with sheer acceleration -
I was very sad and need to find some $ to keep up i think

Another great day. I had a ball even though it was a bit hot. A big thankyou to all the organisers and volunteers that do the hard yards to make these days happen and run smoothly.

I took Marissa for 2 slow laps at the end of the day with some funny results below.

Bwahaha! That was exactly how Mrs JBT carried on during happy laps a couple of months ago in the Bimmer...so I jettisoned her at the pits after two laps and went on by myself.

I took two of Thomas's mates [White Celica] with me, both thought it fantastic! Poor Zac missed out at QR last time so he was happy to cruise around in 1:18.56!!

Hope the problem when you were leaving was only lack of fuel!!

JBT - does Mrs JBT get sick of me waving to her every time I go past?? She does a wonderful job up there!! :D

Yeah Roger, the car had run out of fuel after the 2 passenger laps
All was good again once we put a bit of fuel in it.

Great!! Glad it was that simple!! Next time I'm NOT arriving with almost a full tank!! I'm not into carrying fuel in the car but it seems the only way I can manage it with between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank to keep the weight down!! I don't think a crash diet would assist me!!
