I'm happy to lend my young eyes and able body if so.
If so, any recommendations of what to bring?

I'm quite excited to finally watch you guys go in quick circles :D
Hopefully I'll be joining you next year.

Looking forward to that 'CN', I watched for the first 4-5 and then decided no matter how slow I was I had to join in the fun!!

Sure beats the Mobility Scooter drags on Bribie every Friday night!!

Lakeside canteen sells food???? In it's defense it is one the better canteens for salminella on a stick or in a bay marie than most. The worst would have had to have been Oran Park.

They do Matt!! I must say at least it's fresh!! Only thing i'm not into is 'newk'd' pies!! Turns them into a thick soup! :(

I've been trawling the QR calendar for next year. Turns out I have most mx5 club track days off work. Even better, they were hounding me to take some leave so it would stop piling up. So, I will be off work for every QR/Lakeside MX5 club track day this coming year :) Not this one on the 26th though :( Probably won't come on track until a QR session, Lakeside is scary. Can definitely get photos of everyone at the Lakeside ones until then though :)

No sweat mate, as of last Monday night there were 32 paid up, so if you follow 'trends' of this year that should equate to around 45 starters

As we may have multiple drivers with the same points at the top of the points table for the year. Does any one have a fun (ie probably unfair) way of deciding on an overall winner.

One suggestion was we each drive the same car. I would have a problem with this as it would likely result in a younger, lighter, better driver winning LOL

John,

IMO i dont think there is any real fair way to judge an overall winner this year, based on the scoring system and the events we have had.
Even time improvements dont mean anything due to wet vs dry sessions etc.

I think it should simply be awarded to last years Champion and be done with it

Last year had far more variety with Motokhana and Hill Climbs incl - as it seems 2013 will also. Which allows a separation on the points score system, with overall attendance and consistant class wins paying off.

PS Oil/filter changed, dipstick washed - ready to go

I'm NOT one for countbacks etc .. if two drivers perform well enough to finish the year equal, the so be it! It's a 'Track Championship', some get there by speed and skill and others by consistency. The same can happen for a World F1 Championship, swimming, horse racing etc

Then again, maybe I should bring the Lada down with its conventional tyres and one flying lap each! - that's if it makes it down to Lakeside!!

JUST KIDDIN' ABOUT THE LADA!!

24 HOURS TO GO :!:

See you all there!!

If anyone just wants to come along, walk thru the pits and generally hang about, take pics etc, remember NO CHARGE to get in!! Just rock on thru the main gate and if the 'crossover' over the track is closed, turn right and follow up and around the hill then down thru the tunnel where you see the footbridge!!

ALL WELCOME!!

For the sake of 10 mins or so, roof DOWN!! If you like I can borrow the lady next doors wide brimmed hat for you to wear over your helmet!! Not sure if you can remove the bananas, oranges and pears, bunch of grapes and slice of watermelon!! All plastic of course but it should look fine on you!!

Coastal showers forecast but I take no notice, just watching a storm brewing down around Killarney/Boonah area - not sure how far that will run and what direcction!
