Except for when we put it together, it will be much more professional than pulling it apart on the garage floor haha

I had enough trouble just finding someone willing to spend the time to fix my NA's airconditioning, let alone a whole load of machining like this!
Seems like an awful lot of workshops just can't be bothered these days. They all want the standard service quick money jobs ...
Good on ya for going outside the square. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out :)

Yeah was not that fun trying to explain my situation haha.
Thanks, I hope it all works when I turn the key

By the way, I've heard from reliable sources that Marty Mulholland recently made an offer on an NA6 but was outbid.

Wow really?! I wonder what they would do to it?
maybe like diy stuff from ebay like coiloversleeves and a turbo manifold etc. Could be good or really bad haha

So while its been at the machine shop, I got some other parts sorted.
Bought some Mazdaspeed 4-2-1 (made by Maxim Works I think?) extractors from YAJ, got them for really cheap because they were in pieces.
So someone thought it would be a good idea to use bog, aluminium foil and a sheet of stainless steel to fix a ripped flex joint. Lolz

Image

So I grabbed a new flexijoint and gave them to rxmx on here to fix.
I am super impressed with his welds and he even sent me stage by stage pics!

Tacked and then Purged :)

Final result! looks awesome

And decided to refurb the Astina cam cover, anyone got any tips on how to shave off the paint on the letters?

For the letter paint I think people normally just use some sandpaper, a sanding block, and a light hand.

What is wrong with KU31s? No need to go overboard.

(I bet you love those little Work caps.)
