Easy as, took around 2 mins per headlight.
I used a kit with a drill bit attachment. Sorta does the polishing work for you.

"fix me air!! ... fix me air!!"

Yup ... took her in to ProFix and had the airconditioning fixed. Hasn't worked since I bought the car last year. New compressor, drier, flush & clean and all the other dribs & drabs required.

33º & a bit humid feeling when I picked it up and was fairly cold on the way home :P

Just completed the process of removing all four brake calipers to prepare for my na8 brake upgrade tomorrow.
I was starting on the rotors but I think I was being too loud with my hammer for 9:30pm on a tuesday night
All I hear is ringing in my left ear.... :?
Why are the darn things always so very stubborn?!

theres a small hole on the rotor that you can put a bolt in that will push the rotor off the face of the hub when you turn it. It will make a loud noise though when the rotor comes off. this will save you from hammering to get the rotor off - im assuming thats what your doing?

I was told to use the bolt that secures the spare wheel to the boot...is that correct, or did I just bend the damn bolt for nothing? (if it is correct, the bolt went in nicely, but just bent under pressure)

I managed to re-bend it and secure it back into its original home, so I'm glad I didn't have to go find another one.

Would it be a smart move to go find a bolt somewhere tomorrow morning (bunnings) and keep trying that approach? I've decided to wait till the morning so I can make lots of noise with the hammer if I need be. I'm heading over to Mx5Plus when Jason gives me a call to collect my new brakes, so if I can't find a bolt/get the damn things off I'll see if they can spare a boot-wheel-bolt.

Edit: And yeah, I was hammering away like a cave-man with a stone until I realized my hearing was gone  so I retreated to my man-den and found the bolt solution. If I can't find another bolt, what type of hammering device would people recommend? I was just using a regular sized nailing hammer...super loud.

More force (push rather than impact) may help, try a deadblow mallet or something similar

I'd still try the bolt first.

the bolt only needs to be a little longer than the thickness of the rotor, it just needs to break the hold from probably years of being rusted on.

Also try to spray some WD40/penetrating oil into the gap between the hub and the rotor (either through the wheel stud holes, or maybe from the back of the disc)

Thanks all :)

Got a dead blow mallet, that mixed with using the spare tire bolt got three of the suckers off pretty easily.
I'm stuck on the darn passenger side rear now, the stubborn prick won't budge and I snapped the bolt taking the last one off.

I'll have some breakfast, play some xbox and clear my head then go tackle it like a boss.

Hopefully the guys at Mx5Plus have a spare bolt laying about, cause I can't secure my spare tire at the moment

Got a spare bolt from the boys at mx5plus....the rotor broke that one too (not as badly as the first one, so I've managed to still use it on my spare)

An hour and a half later of swearing, blisters, bleeding, sweating, yelling and smashing - my hammer FINALLY got the damn thing off.
But now I have to go to work so the new brakes won't be on til tomorrow :'(

Is that a good thing....or? :|

I just finished putting the last NA8 brake on the 6. It was alot more work upgrading than I thought! I'm gonna go have a bath, try not to fall asleep then do a full fluids bleed. Can't test them until the missus gets home with the other car due to I need to go get some cleaner....I was clumsy and got the disks greasy  :(

But hey, on better news - I've nearly been awake for 24 hours! :D
