7 DAYS TO GO :!:

Just a week now until we hit Lakeside Park

28 day forecast still saying 'fine', but given we live in Queensland we know how tghat can change so quickly

I will try and get an update as to the numbers so far and post

Details will be posted soon regarding the presentation of trophies for 2012, but it will NOT be after the event next Monday, more so a special occasion at a special location!!

Not just yet Shane, Ross is going to ring me back shortly and I will post soon as I know, I think last week it was 18-19 or so, I know another 5-6 since then, so estimate now around 25-26 add to that 10% then deduct 7.5% for depreciation and also deduct your house number!!

Will get back soon!!

Shane, I just spoke with Ross our Merchandising Officer and he has been thru the Statements and up to tonight there are 32 paid up starters!! It's normal that you get around 5-6 additonal on the day so looking good to break the 40 starters barrier! That would be awesome and no doubt the Committee would be very pleased!!

Don't forget everyone, if you are running please flick Mark our Competiton Secretary an email just to let him know you are running and he can organbise the Groups prior to the day, saves a heap of time!!

Thanks

Same for me! I actually count the days down literally!! I might not be as fast as the others but the feeling when you actually manage a PB on the day!! So far this year I have only managed to get my PB down by 0.39 secs!! Still, better than none and the lower you go the harder it gets

I usually get to Lakeside around 9.15am, set up my pit and then relax, catch up with others as they arrive, better than getting there at the last minute, but then again I get up at 4am and It's only 37km from home - coffee at the BP Southbound and then wander down to the track

Are there still marshals being needed?
I'm happy to lend my young eyes and able body if so.
If so, any recommendations of what to bring?

I'm quite excited to finally watch you guys go in quick circles :D
Hopefully I'll be joining you next year.

Flaggies and pit marshalling assistance is always needed and greatly appreciated. Bring hat, sunscreen, water and anything you want to eat. The Lakeside canteen may also be open for drinks and snack/junk food.

Lakeside canteen sells food???? In it's defense it is one the better canteens for salminella on a stick or in a bay marie than most. The worst would have had to have been Oran Park.
