Toyota 86 seats in NA?

Postby chuie » Wed Nov 14, 2012 11:01 am

Hypothetically speaking would this be possible? I'm not seriously considering this as I'm looking at getting NB8B seats; it's just something I thought would be cool if it worked as they are meant to be very good seats.

Anything is possible.

Would it be easy? probably not.

Also remember, being a new car, the 86 probably has heavy seats.

You will need to determine the width in particukar around the the shoulders. This is where most seats fail to fiton MX5s, especially racing style seats.

The other is where to mount the rails.

and would you need the airbags- and how much would the seats cost etc etc- mega price for new ones. Its merely a hypothetical and presumably you would need an engineers certificate.
