It was Bellbird Grove and it was the MX-5 Club end of year gathering and trophy presentation.

The only SP to be seen was a silver one - somewhere in there.

Mmm i can see it now...LS3 cam, dart heads with up rated valve springs, OTR intake,ECU edit , uprated oil pump and sump, harrop rear end, 90/10 shocks and a set of dirt track sprint radials on pursuit rims for the back (  Spot the boy that grew up in ipswich...   )

Another view with too many green cars in the front row. I think just one car (on the right rear) has been missed and one blew a water pump belt enroute so didn't make it. There were plenty of "no shows" due to weather, lack of interest, clash of events etc.

Yep. Snow White was one of those as it was out and about looking for a good route for the up-coming Chuffin' run scheduled for Nov 25. I'm happy to report that one was found, although a second going-over is scheduled for next Saturday due to an unfortunately wet incident on the passenger seat which managed to ruin the run notes

(...the lid from my water bottle came loose spilling the contents. It's a good job it was the water and not the bourbon!).

BTW: The Chuffin' run is not one to miss. This one is REALLY special and limited to just 20 cars.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I have owned the rare and beautiful Crystal blue SP (known as The Unicorn) for years.
I keep posting photos of it but no one seems to get the drift.
Any others MUST be imposters.
See the photos below for proof.

Hey - it's no laughing matter, 240!
It's the most popular car in the AutoSALON.
BLOWS the rest away.
HAIR one minute, gone the next!

MX5-SP wrote:Spotted deep in the depths of South East Queensland... possibly the three rarest "factory delivered" MX5s on the planet. Three of only 100 SPs ever built. Featuring the ONE and ONLY Crystal Blue SP ("The Unicorn") and the ONLY TWO White SPs ("Snow White" & the yet to be officially nick-named, but rumoured likely to be "Foo Foo Dust"). All together again, posing - as SP owners tend to do with these superbly quick versions of shapely NB8B.

As can be seen from the pix... each owner has made a few "improvements" on top of the stock 130KWs+ pocket rockets. What's not shown are the LSDs; upgraded Suspension & Brakes; T-Piece mods; instrument clusters; Anti-Sway Bars; Sooty Exhausts; etc. Note the different choice of tyres; roll bars; roof options; and other cosmetic differences.

Allan Horsely: If you're out there mate - enjoying your retirement - THANKS a MILLION! These SPs are running just great!

Just bumping this thread as the chance of getting these 3 SP's together again is never going to happen anytime soon in the near future.
What happened ? One of the twins has found a new caretaker.
Where did it go? Dare I say it but NewZealand would be closer :-(
No doubt it will be spotted soon enough.
Wishing both the old and new owners all the best on their motoring journeys.

They are amazing photos and amazing cars. Were they the only 3 SP's in Australia or Queensland or something?

Don't worry i'll keep a close eye on her and make sure she's well looked after.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
