I have a dual tank Prado and it normally takes $200+ to fill....!!
Just joking.
why not just follow my advice and the tune I've given you, send me a log of the results and take the time to learn the ms2.
I'd help but not free for a week or more.

very kind offer
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

grant,
when i upload your tune to my ms2 and plug in the jstim the rpm gauge went crazy (went red and said 63999 rpm)
but i havent plug into the car yet. ill put it in the car again in a day or two(because i found a cheap 1.8 out of a 323 but they want me to take it out of the car so ill be busy) and ill send you a log. thanks so much for your help so far!
also i meant a full tank for a mx5 aha but in your case lets say $100 worth? because im poor

That rpm value is a config error code. It means the tune doesn't match the wiring and setup of the ms2. I did tell you that you need to know how the ms2 is wired and configured and you can't just take any tune and expect them to work. The issue you are facing here is that you must know your ms2 setup and details.
I'm away this weekend, but when I return Sunday, I might be able to look at it if you drop the unit over. I will email you directly a time.

Just to provide more details so hopefully you can solve it yourself (and if others stumble over this post) have a read of this link on the MS2/Extra forums... explains the RPM = 65535 etc
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 01&t=31532
It is really simple to fix, you just have to take your time and review each setting on every menu and work through them making sure the values/settings are correct.
If you don't have patience to do this, then you'll probably have problems.

As you are using a base/standard MS2, make sure you follow this guide >> http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/ms2-a

I found it much easier to turn up hung over with a 1/2 finished MS2 and just get grant to install it.
