RACQ has AGM Battery now...

Postby Silvia » Sat Nov 03, 2012 6:17 pm

I notice that RACQ now offers an Absorbed Glass Mat battery for cars with Stop/Start
features. It sounds like the original no-maintenance sealed MX5 battery ...does anyone know if this would be a good replacement battery to add to the list ?
Details on racq.com/batteries.

Had a quick look @ that general URL, but it wasn't obvious where the battery you're refering to is so can't comment. Perhaps you could supply the specific URL to save time?

Doubt if the one they are offering for cars is the original Panasonic AGM used in the MX5, but depending on size, cranking power etc no reason you couldn't use it. Then again, depending on price it may be better to go for the Panasonic as they are proven to last, which is an unknown for these. Personally think there are other alternatives, but that's different issue.
