Oh wow I am impressed. Everyone always says they want to paint their car Ford Focus electric orange (including me!) but very few actually make the plunge; good on ya! But in this case, maybe it would have made more sense to paint it BMW Feuer Orange since it has the beemer styling :P

While I can't say it really resembles an MX5 anymore, I still think it looks really awesome. Well done bud!

Mr nanotech wrote:Seriously needs bigger diameter wheels. The current ones look too small with those giant wheel arches. Then probably high profile tyres too. Will prob drive like crap but I guess it doesn't matter since you're using it as a business car anyway.

Yup picking up wheels as we speak, Either 18 inch ssr sp1 or 18 and 19 work s1. But i may leave that until i go to japan.

Well currently the SSR's are 15x8.5 +3, with 50 profile. still handles good as ive worked done some work on the suspension as well. Its not purely for business, im using it to promote it yes, but wait til the end of the year and see whats going in. Either im buying Charlies motor or building my own

What about reliability though, hasn't Charlie's car/engine had problems at every trackday it's been to so far?

Thought I'd chime in. Yes I had a few problems at previous track days but that was never motor related. We changed over the crank and cam angle sensors and that fixed the problem. What was happening was the sensors were breaking down but once replaced I never had an issue at QR a few weeks ago.

Oh awesome! Just noticed that you're in Perth too. If you don't mind me asking, where abouts did you get your respray done and how much did it cost. Seeing as your family restaurant is in Joondalup I'm guessing somewhere northern suburbs which would be great. Would you recommend them?

Hey Kenta,

My mate is a spray painter so he did it for me. It depends on what your after, but he spent 6 months fixing every thing on my body ( since its fibreglass) and got rid of any dings etcs. The paint alone was 1500 and ended up costing me 4k. LOL

But that is because my paint was pricey and the work done to it. Wouldve easily cost more i guess..
Yeah im NOR and so is he.

However, i have seen him turn over cars all the time with in a week for not much.

Well I am after the same Ford Focus electric orange, I was prepared for it to be pricey. I don't mean to be a copy cat, I've just always dreamed of painting one of my cars orange and that orange is definitely the best (in my opinion)!

Thanks so much for the info, I'll have to meet up with you some time and check out the paint in person. It looks like your mate has done a really good job!

Oh yeah man with out a doubt! I dont mind you taking the same paint, it believe its the bomb and it looks great in the light. My car was harder to work with as the front was one piece and couldnt take panels off to paint etc.

If you around Joondalup send me a PM and ill tell you if my car is park outside my work hahah
