then you can put registration costs towards more upgrades!
I like the outcome, I was sceptical about the small cuts, but it's well balanced. Venting the radiator should be useful.
Do you intend to support the cuts? I intend to cut just behind my radiator in one hole to provide a clean vent for my radiator.

Yeah i plan to do something with the cuts to give them some support just havent had time. i might see how it goes on thursday though.

So finished work early today and made the most of the afternoon. Splitter on, canards, swap boots and put wing on. Now its ready to hit the track again next week Absolutely stoked with the bonnet. Really suits everything else Also the splitter came up a treat. Really sturdy

Update:
So yesterday was another track day. Booked for a full day cos i wanted to really make the most of it. 30l extra fuel and all my tools ready Woke up in the morning to rain lol. Made the drive out there with it pissing down. Got to qr and the rain eased off a little and so i was hoping for it to stay away. First session out, it was wet, really slippery. Start of the second session we went 1st hot lap had a moment at turn one. Almost held it before going into the dirt lol. One lap later my mate in his supercharged k24 civic when off on the same corner but got beached so back into the pits i went.
Made my way back onto the track for a few laps when disaster struck. Came in a little to hot for a corner and the rear locked up spinning me round. As i hit full lock my wheel pinch the brake line between the control arm leaving me with no brakes :(

So with the car jacked up i phoned around to see if i could get another brake line out so i could get home. Luckily my mechanic had a set of braided lines in stock so he got his courier to bring them out to me with some brake fluid :D
Few hours later he rocked up and i was able to quickly swap it over and bleed my brakes.. At this point i was gonna go home but my brakes felt ok so i decided to atleast get my money's worth. At this point it had been raining constantly for a good 2 hours so the track was soaked to say the least. However i didnt care lol. I went back out and had probably the best afternoon ive had at a track event. It was awesome to get sideways coming out of corners and by the end of the day i was getting better at controlling it
So all in all even though the morning was a right off i had an awesome afternoon and got to learn my car so much more Few things i noticed on the way home was the clutch losing pressure here and there when changing gears so i think somethings leaking. And i cracked a flare.. Oh well sh*t happens.
Ill have a few pics and stuff as they come but for now heres a vid. I fight for traction pretty bad at the start especially down the back straight lol.

Spotted a small picture of Charlie's car in the Oct 2012 edition of "Fast Fours and Rotaries" at the-lowdown.com event in Sydney with the caption:
"Finished just in time and then dríven all the way from Queensland, Charlie's turbo MX-5 looked amazing on the rooftop."
FYI: The event was held on an inner-city roof-top car park, Charlie didn't take a wrong turn

one small opinion on my part.
i was thinking it might be a good idea to put sides in the openings you have in the bonnet.
it will make the air coming out of the much less turbulent and probably at a higher velocity.
i think if you bonded some prefab flat carbon sheet it could look cool as well.
even something as basic as this could work.

Update:
Theres a trackday coming up that has a skidpan as well so i wanted to swap wheels and give that a go.. So i decided to build a tire rack to transport them. Unfortuately not everything went to plan but ill be making the base again better Atm though its stable enough to transport stuff to and from the track.

Update:
So yesterday i went to the Hardtuned Track Day at Norwell Park. This is an awesome day with track time, cruise sessions and skid pan all day. I was really interested to see how the car was gonna cope with the tight corners and with modifying the fuel setup to a better thought out design i was anxious to see the improvements in that. First of all the reason for the new fuel setup was my 2nd Deatschwerks pump had sh*t itself so new walbro unit went in and moved the fuel reg to the engine bay and running a proper return setup now.
Onto the day. First timed session out i was getting use to the track and making sure everything felt good. Everything was going good apart from some understeer here and there but thats to be expected with such tight hair pins.. I was in a group with John Toomer who i think did a best time of 107's? and Tim Anson that had to retire with a cracked manifold.. so there was some good competition. 2nd session out i decided to really go for it and ended up putting down a 101.7 to top the group and the rest of the cars for the day. It felt pretty good to be the fastest there with porsche Gt3's, 300awkw evo and a bunch of other insane cars.
I had no issues what so ever during the day and it drove home perfectly the way it should . Im uploading some vids now and there will be a bunch of pics coming up in the next few days
