THats because there are no leds on the bottom.. it's a reflection. THey'd have to have a lense over them in my opinion it's waaaaaaaaaaay too bright and looks gross when you can see them.

there is nothing complicated about this. A standard Lc lamp is incandescent and the light output is modest. The LC lamps themselves have a lense designed not to dazzle but to provide sufficient light to read the licence plate. The strip LED shown is merely far too much light for the application. Lightiing on the rear of a car is meant not to distract other motorists. You can readily purchase ADR approved LP lamps. Hella and Narva offer these lamps.

Yeah I agree with all the comments. Those LED are far too big and too bright. I am looking for an other solution and will report back ASAP!

I am trying to listen to people ideas/suggestions/complains as much as I can so thanks a lot for the feedbacks. :NA8:

Hey Marc, I appreciate your input on this. If you get a nice LED setup then that would be perfect for those like me who want to get a different design to what came stock on their car. :) Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
