Make enquiries with the RAC?
They might have the required equipment.

Hi,

Just spoke to Garage 101, and it costs $185 and takes about 30mins so it can be done while you wait,
also they do tuning and stuff, so if it fails they can retune it etc.. but I'm getting a new cat before I take it and probably fill it up with E10 .. :)

$185 sounds quite $$$. I will check and see if there are any places to go. I am sure there are quite a few, and the DPI should be able to give you a list if you ask.

Hi there,
Did you build this yourself or did you purchase Carl Marsh's NA6 by any chance?

I may have found another venue for the 5 gas emmissions test. Next door to my local exhaust shop (IMHO one of the best in Perth) is a tuning shop which deasl with FPV. Thye have a dyno and will be upgrading to a 5 gas sensor fairly shortly. I will scope them out on prices for the 5 gas and possible dyno time for tuning of my megasquirt when I finally get it done. More to come...

The Jag place (Roadbend i think its called) on welshpool road have been doing it for years.

The 5 gas test should be easy aslong as you have euro 4 (i think) cat .
there about $500-700 .

Done ... I took it to Garage 101, It Passed easily
they also ran it up on the Dyno and it showed 168.3 hp so i'm happy with that too,
just gotta get the engineers report now and it's finished.

Great news! Hope wasn't too expensive
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Good job. Glad to hear it all worked out. Now the flood gates can open as we all try to get our FI cars approved....

it was a relief that it passed .. but it's a 1990 and emissions aren't that strict, it might be harder for a newer car ... all in all FFS supercharger kit has done everything they said it would ... Highly recommended.
