Hi guys I installed the begi cai the other day. It was running great for a few days then today while I was accelerating in third the car started to bog really bad. Since then it idles terribly, barely running and does stall after a bit. I know it's rich( getting some I burnt fuel out the exhaust) not sure if its the stock bypass valve or the o2 sensor.
Any ideas or experience with this?

Do you have a boost gauge ?
That will help identify the problem

Did you try cleaning the AFM/MAF or bump it or drop it while you were putting the CAI in? If it's an AFM did you play with the internals? If it's a MAF did you let anything touch the internal wire? Is it properly plugged in again without damage to wiring or pins?

I've checked the wires leading into the maf and the maf. Can't see any damage and I didn't clean it. Might've got some dirt in it but didn't see anything.

The intake would not make it run rich.
Is everything connected properly? Maybe there's an air leak?

It would run rich if a fault code has tripped and its in limp mode.

Re: Begi intake now the car is running rich
So after much head scratching, swearing and general worry I've found what the problem was.
The silicone hose that connects the turbo to the intercooler had come off under load. Of course it was the last place that I'd looked and after changing all the vacuum lines.
So its back to the new normal of the Begi intake. I have to say initially I wasn't hugely impressed with it however after driving with it for a few days I'm really enjoying it. Although I was a little surprised with the bypass valve sound that started with the change to the begi.
