Pretty sure my A1RMs for my NB8A arrived today from Brakes Direct. Only ordered them last Friday and there was no mention of them being the last set. Maybe give Brakes Direct a try? $119 for a front or rear set.

Had the A1RM on my last NB. Great pads. Quite dusty and a bit noisy but that's a price I'd happily pay if it pulls the car up quicker.

Well you must have bought the last set then! They said they sold out not too long ago, called QFM asking if they had any stock and any shops who carry them and they said they've been out of stock for a while, and not planning on making them.

Give Peter Battisson a call at ACDC in Canberra. He's got a great relationship with QFM and if you ask nicely and can send him your old worn out pads, he might be able to get QFM to recast new linings onto the backing plates.

When I spoke to qfm, they said the only way is that if I sent them my worn pads, they can cast new ones with using the old pads as a template, but they'd have to make thousands of them to be cost effective and to them, MX5 weren't worth it apparently, so to clarify, the chances of getting A1RM's for NA8/NB8BA brakes are looking pretty dull

Perhaps you got the very last few sets?

Try calling Greg Latham at Brakes Direct. He managed to get me both the A1RMs and DBA XS4000 front rotors and DBA T2s for the rear when everyone said that DBA are out of stock and won't be making them (including DBA themselves and one other staff member of Brakes Direct!).

Also, can someone confirm the part numbers required for NB8A A1RM pads?

Spoke with Gsl rallysport (people behind brakes direct) . They said no problem getting a1rm pads, just may be a wait if stock is out. (up to 5 weeks to get a production run done)

As they are the biggest qfm stockists they are happy to order 10 and shelve 9 sets for later customers.

I'm also hoping to grab a set, looking for NB fronts for new upgrades... Have to wait but my impression was it didn't sound like they were never to be seen again, just out of stock.

Do not get Green Stuff. They lasted two track days for me whereas standard pads did 40,000kms and 6 track days.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Newly installed Project Mu Club Racer fronts, one less spec from the same manufacturer on the rear, race brake fluid, RDA slotted rotors. They have more stopping power than I have bravery, and once you've got used to how hard they stop they're easy to modulate and simply don't go off, at least with me driving at only around 1:50s at Winton Long, even after 12 laps.

Picked up QA1RM pads from GSL Rallysport/Brakesdirect this morning... the time to hassle them is now. :)
