Sounds like a plan, I might see if they're willing to buy the wreck!

That way I can make a couple of dollars on it, and they can make the lion's share.

Your payout will be enough to build a really nice turbo NA.

Dann, you're very right, and you didn't even bite on my dig!

I have other plans however, and will report back in time with an update. So far, it's looking promising.

Cheers
Pete

That's coming up from northern Sydney right? Hope you got a good price on it. Should be fun.

Yep, the northern Sydney one it is - bit of a beast from the specs, confirmed with Ajay.

Did get a good deal, I'm pretty happy!

Lokiel - a Ti triplets photoshoot is definitely on the cards, although I will be keeping the wagon wheels, I like them.

Have a mod list in mind already, will be looking to recreate what I call the lowered Ti, as I already have small side skirts on the way, but I won't be going the tail light surrounds, will be fitting the set I had on the silver one.

That's OK, we can put your car in the middle of Gina and MINX and shoot from angles that don't show them :P

Seriously though, when the next track day comes up at Lakeside, I'll be swapping to my track rims (15x8 6ULs) on the Sunday beforehand and wont have time to swap them back until the next weekend. I'd like you to try my DD 15x8 6UL rims+tyres for a week or two so that you can experience the difference and see why I'm so anti-17" rim.

Thanks Lokiel, that's very kind of you! I'm sure I'll notice the difference, but the aesthetics are the reason I like these wheels, but then again, if I can find a set of 15's that I like the look of, there may be reason for change!

The new ride looks good Pete, almost identical to your previous ride. No need to change the thread heading.

Thanks Kev, aside from the obvious colour difference, there's a couple of things required to get it to be my car... small sideskirts, clear side indicators & reflectors, smoked LED tail lights, Aston Martin style grille, then it's definitely mine!

AFAIK I was the only person with those tail lights in Australia, and luckily they'll work just as well on a titanium as they did on silver.

Thanks Stu, I was after a Ti, or Black Mica from the beginning, but the silver was too good a deal to pass up - the better go bits have made this one a match made in heaven type deal for me!

To be honest, I quite liked the look of the 17" rims initially but HATED the ride and after reading how guys who switched from 17" rims to 15" rims overwhelmingly preferred the 15" rims, I decided to do the same - they were right, and tyres are cheaper with more options available so in the long run it's worth "upgrading" to 15" rims. It's funny that when I owned the Starion I always wanted to switch to larger rims and now I've gone the other way and switched to smaller rims - I guess as you get older, common sense kicks in,

It probably took me about 2 months to prefer the look of the 15" rims (once I'd lowered the car to avoid the 4WD look) and now I can't look at 17" rims on an NA/NB without cringing.

I also cringe when I see guys in Falcodores running ridiculously large rims. Every time I hit a pothole with the 17" rims, it felt like I must have dented the rim badly and the ride was harsh as hell. Some of those larger rims leave almost no sidewall so they may as well be running on the rims alone.
