Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
They are 2" hotdogs but the internal size is around 2.25 you can see they step down.
The exhaust is 2",
Anyone who thinks their 2.25" RSR is a better size should drag race this car

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
^^ LOLOL
Noobie:
Ive got a full forged build that will take me into next week.
And then immediately finish the few downpipe and manifolds im doing.
Also heres some extra eye candy I just remembered to photo for everyone.
One is spoken for and the other is just waiting for someone who needs one.
Give me a few days to get pics of this installed up, its an intake just like pauls but mandrel for flow and simplicity.

Will be like this one but not lobster, and through the firewall.

Heres something Im almost finished, Undecided whether to put it on the SE here and sell its manifold, or whether to sell this one to an SE/1.8 guy.
Its a direct copy of the other one I made but with a nice CNC ported flange and a nicer collector.
Its hard to cut collectors on a chop saw I tell you, takes me ages to get a good set of 4 pipes.
Almost finished porting it and then Ill weld the head flange on, right now its just tacked.
I have other jobs to do that have been paid or deposited but cannot complete them due to not having a complete 1.8 car here, the SE engine is due back this week and those will be done immediately.

Is this a replacement manifold for SE using the factory IHI turbo? If so, what sort or price are we looking at with a dump pipe as well?
NA8 - BP4W IHI VJ35, 3.9 Torsen2, Adaptronic - SOLD
NB8A - mostly stock for now

Thought about making a video of it, but wasn't sure if anyone cared. Happy to make one if you want.

Approximate final fitment of the rear half, just the joining pipes to do, will leave till he gets here tomorrow to confirm it fits around his diff and any braces.

Hows this for injustice.. This is my exhaust.. An exhaust shop job.
Yeh, 2.5" which is way way too big, and the only shiny bit I tacked on a few weeks ago cos I didnt have a tip after I removed the 3.5" one it came with years ago. You dont want close ups of the welds trust me.

Re: NitroDann's Long Awaited Garage Thread
I opened this thread 12 months ago..
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=48354&hilit=welders+get+in
Telling people I wanted to weld and asking people their opinion.
At this point Id owned a stick welder that I paid 35 dollars for-for a few months, It was horrible.
Bought a TIG welder and started going to town on every bit of scrap metal I could find.
Watched a bit of youtube etc.
Made up welding challenges for myself.
Id owned the welder a few weeks when I did this. This is the sort of thing I did nonstop for practice.

Did odd jobs for mates and now welding all the time!
Dann
EDIT: I just read that thread, geez, I thought that 35 dollar welder welded not bad. its just cos I had no idea, A weld that worked was considered good by me back then haha.
