Hey mate, If i remember correctly, your in Orange NSW? I was there for the weekend. Nice country town, had a great steak @ some corner pub, a good night out at some clubs and the bakery @ am offered a delicious meat pie.
I will be back some day soon!

sorry for the late reply been busy with the motorbike. you probably had that great pie at roberts pie shop next door to the local bmw dealer
well the upgrade turbo is back in the car. upgrade include a 15t mitsubishi wheel-larger flapper and ported.
i had the car dynoed yesterday. prior to the upgrade - on a previous power run it make 168 rwhp and yesterday with the turbo upgrade 191.5 rwkw
only drama - i now have a bit of turbo flutter or something

Dyno sheets show it really wants to be run closer to 12:1 AFR, But it looks fairly smooth and good power figure.

the red cover is not a bad idea. would have to a custom made job. might be a bit of a challenge with the vinyl dye.

Billy, how did you get a nice clean edge on the plastidip? Every time I've used plastidip I get a shitty edge from when I remove the masking tape it pulls at the plastidip an gives a furry edge.
How are you doing it?
Thanks

Pull the tape off while it's still wet. If the plastidip sets, it sets to the tape and will want to come off with it.

hi all
although i have not been active on the forum for several months - i'm still alive and kicking. up until a couple of mths ago the mx5 was still the same white/red stripes.
over the past few days i decided to give it a face lift. more info to follow including some nice photos
