Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
Bolted on my pod filter the other day. Nice and obnoxiously loud, how I like it.
I'll be taking my baby into Mx5 Plus to sort out this damn bent sub frame in the next matter of weeks! THANK GOD.
Also gonna get some new engine mounts
Maybe a roll bar while I'm at it, if my pay is kind to me.
Also planning a few home DIY jobs over the next month, so considering starting up a garage thread.
The modding bug has struck;
And while she still looks like a truck,
A few things must be fixed,
Before I get too hitched.
But soon she'll be low,
And from there I will go.
Another happy camper in the MX5 show.

Routed some new wiring
set a multimetre on fire
blew a few fuses
ran out of wire and gave up temporarily.
oh, and over the weekend a myself, Pamex, Nanotech & Daffyflyer put a new engine+clutch into Nanotech's car. (unrelated to the wiring, wiring was on my car, Nano's car started first go after everything was put back!)

Lubricated my door locks. Took all of about two minutes, and now I can actually lock the driver's door with the key. When I bought the car, it was so stiff to lock that I thought it was broken.

Engine flush, new filter and oil. Got rid of 6 Stack changer in the boot that was useless and did nothing but skip tracks and take up space.

Is this the kitchen sink?
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
I managed to find some time to work on the MX-5!
I bought this is May 2011
I started to fab up something to use the stock rail, then I tried a special MX-5 rail that caused all sorts of drams and then I bought a PCI seat mount from plohl
These mounts are really cool and would have suited most people but i'm a bit over 6 foot and a fat bhastard so I needed to modify it so the seat could go back even further and sit a bit lower.
So after over a year the seat is in, I have a tuning afternoon this week, lets see how I go.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Removed the hard top for the first time (didn't come with a soft top). I was chasing down a rattle... that was my excuse anyway. I also gave my dad a drive in the car for the first time. I think he liked it.

Waiting on my watanabe's to be delivered Today/tomorrow
then a tyre swap to get them on.
Then a service (200K km)
Then the cuscos coilovers go in
..and my nb8b brakes go on
and then the MX5plus roll bar installation
Then a decent cut-and-polish from a pro

Sold the NB8A on Sunday night, hopefully the new owner pops up here!
Half installed a set of Focal IS200 in the doors in the SE. Can't wait for it to be done tonight

Wiped away the dust and apply armourall to the interior. Good as seconds.
