Just leave it with Adrian for a detailed quote, and if you require special bits, he will source them for you as he did the chrome/clear side indicators for mine.....

One issue

I don't get to choose where it ends up going :( because I don't have choice of repairer

I have to go and get 2 quotes one of my insurance repairers and one of my choice

Time to change to Shannons me thinks.....

Hi T,
Ensure that the wheels are balanced pre and post repair, I hit a brick on the Freeway, had it repaired and did not notice the real damage until a tyre rotation.
Best.

Unfortunately they don't want me and that's probably because of my age

Really? I've been with shanons for 3 years now (just turned 25). The say on the Web they can't quote due to age, but that is just a website quote, they do it over the phone.

If your looking for someone else good try Bayer smash repair in Loganholme.

I think racq also offer choice of repairer if shannons don't.

Yeah the repairers are sorted just gonna wait it out till the insurance company decides who to does the job

I'll have to get a quote with Shannons again but when I had the NB they weren't really interested with a quote of over 2k and RACQ wanted 3.7k
While AAMI/Justcar wanted 1.5k

Dare I say it, but you paid less on the premium, but get stiffed when you need it - not much of a saving in my humble opinion.....

I can't see why Shannons wouldn't want your business - perhaps you just need to ask them again.....

I'm 24, I pay 1.7k a year so my SP.
1 speeding fine and 1 accident (arguably at fault).

Last year was 1.5k...

Excess is $500, $500 more if under 25.

Car is insured for 20k.

No idea why yours is so expensive.

Hi Tien

Sorry to see the mishap... I tend to not like generalising, but I cant help myself with Camrys :? (TIC)

I find that Camry's have a higher (so not all-just higher) proportion of being bought by people that see the car as an appliance and love it about as much... care factor not much, care taken not much ...hopefully it gets sorted quick and comes back just as mint...

Back to your Grom install in this thread... I have just stepped out of a Passat with full integration, and am suffering with the MX5 lack of SD/USB/iPod... but the Bluetooth is particularly killing me... How easy is it to manage the Grom BT? particularly if you happen to be listening to the radio?

Off topic ....shame they don't do a DAB+ solution and inject that through the CD changer as well

Cheers

I take it you have an NC

With Bluetooth you have to change it to the CD function to answer and receive calls

So when you phone rings flick your radio back to CD and then flick the next track button and it will answer your call

Dedicated Bluetooth units will integrate better. The GROM is more of a multimedia that integrates to the CD Charger port with Bluetooth attached to it and not directly to the car stereo itself

I received an email a few weeks ago about them having new units that play even more different types of media files but I'd say the above still applies for Bluetooth

I'm paying under $900 ATM with Just Car but mind you my excess isn't cheap it's around $1500 i think

Also the prices I put up before weren't for the NC they were for my NB8A

Why at renewal???

Just transfer now = get the car fixed, and reinsure with a real insurer sooner rather than later. What IF you just picked it up from the repairers and some other Camry driver driving idiot hits it again before renewal?

You're back on this roller coaster all over again.

If the wheels are to be repaired in house I would insist that they are balanced before they go back on, if the work is shipped out then the account should indicate that the wheels are true and balanced. ASK THE QUESTIONS.

Well what happens when I get the car repaired, change insurance then drive down the road and something that wasn't picked up when it was repaired comes up? The insurance company won't even think for a second to fix it because I'm no longer insured with them.
