Do you have some super wet weather tyres to beat Ross? :|

Last time it rained at Lakeside I was around 8-10 secs a lap faster than most in my group!! It only lasted that first run but I kind of like driving in the wet, used to wet muddy roads from my rallying days and our Motorkhanas and Khanacrosses back then were always on dirt or mud!!

If you check the lap times, I think it was the last day we had 2011, first run Alan in his Corolla was doing 68-69's in the total wet!! He and I started Motorkhanas around the same time many years ago!! He was, I think, 12yo!!

So yes, if it rains, it rains!! [just don't run the 'sprint' circuit, it's that damn causeway!!

i want it dry. I'll have no traction at the dirt sprints on sunday - a nice grippy run at the track would be nice after that
Cheers,

Rob

Thanks!! I do tonight, a very 'trying' day at work to say the least .. so it's sit back and watch 'X Factor' with the cat on my lap, special treat for her

Hope the earlier info helped and after checking our laps times from QR last meet I better extract my digit!! you were only 0.17 secs behind me overall!!

See ya there!

Paid up, extension sorted, new trailer registered, full synthetic oil change done... almost ready- just need to extract the fuel pump and see if the sock was the reason for the fuel starving on the left hander (turn 5?)...
See you there guys! BTW if it is raining I fully expect to leave the track at speed the way mine is soooooo taily under brakes!
Should be a blast!
QR clubman 64.93 - lakeside 67 neat- first time out...

Regardless of whether it's National, Sprint or Clubman, turn 5 is the last left hander at QR!! If National or Clubman, then it's a double left-hander thru turns 4 & 5 - hope you get that sorted!!

Look forward to catching up with everyone - current 28 day forecast is possible rain but thunderstorms Tuesday and rain Wednesday, just hope they don't come quicker!! Reference: Weatherzone & Weather Channel

MINX

Tipping maybe 45+

This 'topic' has had 3,067 views to date, previous Lakeside was 2,200 4 days out and QR 21 May was 1,601 :!: :!:

If that equates to more interest then we are doing something right by stimulating posts regardless - great to see

How many non Mx5s have entered? It might be a good idea to put the mobile chicane doof doof machines in a group together. :)

OK, I must say it first ...

4 DAYS TO GO :!: :!:

For the 'weather nuts' or those that just want to keep an eye on what's happening, I am attaching a Norwegian system that I set to 'Amberley' closest I can find to QR .. it gives a very accurate updating forecast for the ensuing 48 hours [well at MY place it does!!]

http://www.yr.no/place/Australia/Queens ... _hour.html

You can visit and click here or click and open and save to your own PC - to change to your own location, type your city/town/suburb in the search box at the top and then click 'hour by hour' for it to format like this 'Amberley' one is

Have fun !!

John - that I know of, Alan with the red Corolla, 64's at Lakeside normally Group 1, Alex in the Opel Astra will be Group 2, Thomas with the Celica will not be there unfortunately, he has TAFE, I'd say the usual 6-7-8 but only Alan in your Group

Maybe you should have a group to yourself John?
