Yup. It's ridiculous. It's a month tomorrow since it was posted.
On a positive note I went for a drive through the royal national park on Sunday and on the way back a Harley followed me using the very same headlight. It was mid afternoon but the light output was awesome and from a distance had more beam control than the BMW motor cycle next to it. I'm excited!

Mate, I thought about giving you a bell actually but I saw you had pulled out of the Iceberg run so figured you'd be busy? Besides the 4 Ferrari 360's it was a pretty slow drive through the park

Re: Advanced LED lighting for an NA?
So, an update.
Canada Post really is hopeless. But it doesnt help that the EBay seller had shipped the item via surface mail so all i know right now is that its left Canada and its been like that for 25 days.
In the mean time ive gone out and purchased another set from someone in the US. its only been 5 days but the item arrived in Sydney yesterday. Hopefully ill get it in the next day or so in time for this weekends Bit n Bling club day!
On that note. If anyone is interested in a Set of Truck Lite Phase 7 LED Headlights for their NA PM me. Pickup preferred in Sydney at this stage.

Re: Advanced LED lighting for an NA?
Quick update.
The lights from the US predictably arrive before the units from Canada.
Pics of the unboxing.
View of the LED mainboard from below. Affixed to the center mounted heat-sink. This would be the source of the high-beam
I'll probably install them tomorrow evening. Updates to follow!

Just quietly,
Any reason for sourcing from O/S?
I'm a parts interpreter in the trucking game, I'll see if I can source these locally tomorrow at work, might help other interested parties... Like me

wellll. Until now i didnt know anyone in the trucking game
A google search for this and similar products in Australia yields nothing side from AU Ebay listings from US sellers.
Fingers crossed they perform as well as everyone is raving on about them you might get a few PM's if you can source them!
If not i do have a pair on a slow boat from Canada.

We think Canadians are Americans,
Thus they think Australians are like Austrians,
Which means your lights are on their way to Austria!

Re: Advanced LED lighting for an NA?
Okay. The moment of truth!
Dinner over i went downstairs and proceeded to install the new headlights.
While i was at it i decided to pull out from storage the original 22 year old headlights to perform a comparison. The results are below. If you want to see the pics head over to my garage thread.

Nice results. So where they truly a plug and play? Or did you have to make any changes to the MX5 light plugs/leads?

Plug and play. The exact same process as replacing a bulb. Would have taken me less than 5mins but I swapped the units in and out for the test

The question about the bottom part of the light is a good one, hoping you will reply soon.
