hi all
got this 1990 eunos roadster a few months back and been gradually fixing it up!
As you can see, was pretty flocked! Guy said he had left it at the pub and came back next morning to find it trashed
Looked a little like a disgruntled ex girlfriend had taken to it with a sledge hammer
All pretty stock
Air con, low kms 120k, power steering
mechanically ok, but pretty much every panel dented
no rear window
rear brakes squeelin
leaking power steering
neglected and sad
but cheap
heres a few pics of how I got it to start with:
Ive nearly got it to a nice standard, more pics n details soon!
feel free to comment, burn, leave ideas, whatever

Ah man thats just cruel!
Great opportunity for major strip down & a quality rebuild to whatever you want it to be.
Good luck...

Re: speeedys NA6 roadster
Ouch! Looking forward to the "after" pics...
Re: speeedys NA6 roadster
ok so first thing to fix was rear window or lack of
so I went to bunnings and got a length of clear vinyl, some heavy duty needles and thread from spotlight
cut to fit and held in place with some double sided tape then got stitching! little tricky but a few hours later and all sorted!! total cost about $15
Then it was time for some panel work!! after some searching was lucky to find a new bonnet, front bumper, rear garnish and indicator from jap import spares cost about $700 delivered and all in silver!! they were awesome, and delivery was super quick!
All pretty straight forward to fit. bonnet took a little adjusting to sit flush but got there eventually.
Also got a cheap garage vary front lip off ebay from the states and slapped that on the front.
Also an offset number plate bracket from mx5 mania and its all starting to look good!
I then gave it a service! new filters, plugs, leads etc....
this made a massive difference, and all is running well
then i started on interior, new gear boots, seals, got a sparco seat, new momo wheel, stereo, door speakers. and just a big clean up!
love the seat nice and snug and drops you down a little too. Ill get some pics of the interor today, its looking pretty good now
next up had to replace rear suspension so scored some cusco coilovers on here and fitted those. rears were easy but fronts are a massive pain in the ass, very tricky getting the front shocks out even with the spring compressors wound right up.
dropped it right down and after some adjusting all feels good, a lot less floaty than stock
next had brake pads all replaced and a system flush and adjust.
I had a leaking power steering boot/seal, so had a seal kit put in and that was all fine.
Also had windscreen replaced and new rubber.
got sick of the yellow lenses already so removed that and back to clear!
also got the exhaust replaced, just the rear muffler as it was rattling so got a new sports one made up and sounds great!!
next on the list...
roll bar, looking at either a brown davis or tall boy from mx5 plus. pm me if you can help me out with one
service cooling system, got a new thermostat on the way, give it all a flush
some of those side skirts off omgpham
a ducktail spoiler?
im building my own mx5 mania air intake, got most of the bits ready just waiting on a few more
and I think thats a bout it for now, been a busy few weeks but pretty happy where its at now

Starting to look good.
The front shocks are much easier if you just pull the long bolt from the upper arm.
No need for spring compressors.

Re: speeedys NA6 roadster
Best model and colour mx5 ever made... I'm a little biased thought
I've got a silver NA6 Roadster as well, nice to see another around. Looking at yours makes me want to get a GV style lip bad, but I'm just concerned with it scraping everything (mines a little lowered). How is yours holding up?
Also, jealous of your colour-coded garnish find. Guess I didn't look hard enough and had to settle for a black one, but thats alright... seems like all the hipsters have black garnishes nowadays haha.

mines lowered too and only scrapes on the driveway a bit, just gotta hit the angle and its all good
