My car is dríven hard at a semi-functional height, I'd recommend not going for the trap lip because if it does hit something, you're stuffed. IMHO garage vary is best.
I like my girls how I like my cars, topless.

Re: Emily's NA6 V-Special Roadster
Complete Exhaust Upgrade
FINALLY I have done something actually decent haha.
4-2-1 Maxim Works Extractors straight from Japan, coated in high-temp black paint
Custom 2.25" midpipe with Magnaflow high-flow catalytic converter
RS*R Muffler, big thanks to Jesse Streeter who brought this in for me
I would like to say a huge thank you to NitroDann, who welded up the midepipe to match the headers and muffler. It fits perfectly and has made a massive difference to the response and acceleration of my little NA6
oem temp sensor housing welded into new cat:
stock cat vs. magaflow cat
model no. for those interested
neat welds:
RS*R muffler, nfi what is says?
midepipe in mid-fabrication and final:
Test fitting the headers to oem system to check if they sat in stock position.
Unfortunately they sit about 3/4" shorter, which is still fine, it just means I have to cut the passenger side seatbelt bolt slightly shorter because the midepipe is touching it. The bolt looks too shiny to be original, and sticks out past the captive plate by about 2", so should probly be shorter anyway lol.
high tensile nuts & bolts & washers used to clamp the mode-pipe to the muffler:
stock rubbish
beautiful Maxim Works headers

Looks great emily and Dann
Would be cool to get a video clip so we can appreciate the exhaust noise.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Emily's NA6 V-Special Roadster
Im not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing but its reallyyyyyyyyy quiet. Although maybe anything will seem quiet after the other RS*R
Absolutely ZERO drone, which I am very happy about, because I was certainly worried as it does have a 3.5" f*ck off tip haha.

Nah I dont think chambered, rolled a small bouncy ball straight through it, its just got a pretty big resonance box, its bigger than stock muffler haha.
Why yes, yes it does

Really enjoying your build Emily. Jealous of the quality on the exhaust.
Keep up the great work.

How to make an exhaust swap interesting. Illustrative photos as well.

See, I thought the tip looked huge too, when the muffler was sitting in my living room, but actually on the car, its sorta small
stock 2.25" vs RS*R 3.5"
looks pretty stock from the side
I love it!

Yep you are right, it is tucked in really tight and also a straight cut no frills pipe. Good one.
Now those wheels while attractive are a bit too fancy for my taste.
I recently came across a great mod for your colour roadster. See where your top dash crash pad and top of door pads are tan? They can be swapped for black ones. What it does is tie the dash together and makes it look a lot sleeker. Only the top bits need change otherwise you lose the tan effect.
