DIY Dash Removal

Postby chino » Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:35 pm

Hey guys,

i recently took out my dash and needed some help, so i came across this PDF.

I dont take any credit, as all goes to Anthony Meeks for his effort and time from miata.net

http://www.miata.net/garage/DashRmv_89_93.pdf

saved me a lot of time so i thought i'd share

Pretty detailed write up there.

I've taken dashes out over a dozen times now, only things I would add to that would be to keep the HVAC controls in the dash and remove later, unclip all the cable terminals before you even start to pull the dash out.

good point!

Ive taken the dash out for a while now, and forgot which way the two green wires go ( im assuming its to work the AC), i havent started the car yet but ive put the Green/Red wire on the top terminal and the other on the bottom.

Right or wrong? LOL

It shouldn't really matter because it's just a switch that it goes to.
