The car is back home now and everything seems to be working as expected!

Huge thanks to Automotive Plus for their efforts and top quality workmanship.

Now I just need to finish the engine run in procedure then hit the dyno! 8)

Was wondering who this new moderator "timk" was? :? Then I realised ... formerly known as "saboteur". 8)

The car has been great, and no issues except for the battery going flat. I have put over 500km on the new engine now, so it's getting close to tuning time. Kudos again to Jason and Automotive Plus!

I'm waiting on a BEGi throttle body inlet to replace the rubber item I have at the moment, then I will get some engine bay pics uploaded! :D

On another thread you mentioned you haven't taken the SE engine past 10psi as you're running it in. What is your goal PSI/HP wise?

My car is tuned for 14psi but I've found 10psi is enough unless it's a special occasion. 8)

Been a while since my last update but fortunately there hasn't been much to report as far as the new engine goes!

I had to replace the clutch master cylinder as it was leaking, as well as the alternator. I also had 3 of the 4 bolts shear off holding the harmonic balancer:

Fortunately this happened while I was driving slowly up my street so I could stop it straight away!

The car has now been tuned, although I haven't yet got anything to control boost so it was just tuned at the wastegate setting. It made 127kw at 8 psi.

First track day is on Monday, can't wait!

Jaime, yes mine are a 6/5kg set. They are good for a mostly street & occasional track car, but they dive a bit under really heavy braking.

Track day was good fun, still running wastegate pressure:

The oil temps got up to 110c/230f on the track, so I've got a Flyin' Miata oil cooler kit on the way, hopefully this will take the edge off the temp.

Here's the engine bay as it currently stands:

I've fitted the boost control solenoid behind the AEM heat shield, seems to work nicely here:

Once the oil cooler kit is in, hopefully I'll be able to run ALLOFIT boost!

Cheers

Thanks mate. Yeah I am using an app called Harry's Lap Timer Pro, it's worth checking out.

We wish. iOS is easier to code for due to uniform screen sizes (amongst other things or so I've read) so unfortunately the better selling platform misses out for a while.
