After the last club day @ wakefield I noticed that I was getting a lot of resistance to the car free rolling down hill (just at car park speeds).
When I got home I jacked up the car and rotated all the wheels buy hand and the right rear wheel is the culprit. The car is a 2005 nb8b SE.
Before anyone asks, I made sure to leave the hand brake off while the brakes were cooling down after track sessions.
Did a bit of search, but seems most people have problems with the front callipers.
Was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what the fix might be?
Is there an easy way of telling if the problem with the hand brake or the normal hydraulic calliper operation?
I am keen to do a DYI if possible.
Thanks in advance

Re: Sticky right rear brake
Common problem on the NA6 & NA8, but usually on rear passenger side in a RHD MX5. Haven't heard of it being common on the NB8, but might be something we'll see more of:

Re: Sticky right rear brake
I know of one NB8A that had a similar problem, was a bugger to fix.
It was a seized slider pin on the RR caliper, it caused a guy in a workshop any amount of grief to get the caliper off and cost me half a day's track time. From memory we had to get a new caliper so I was a bit late arriving for the second day.
As the brakes in the NA and NB are nearly identical, I can't see why the NB wouldn't suffer the same problems ...

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)
