Hey all,
I'm finding it hard to figure out what turbo's are compatible with the SE manifold.
I can get my hand on a brand new garrett t25 ballbearing but haven't yet found out if they hve an option that bolts straight up.
Currently I have a Skyline (front housing)/200sx(rear housing) and ive got another T28Ballbearing. I do have an adapter so could use eithe of these but would rather use a brand newy if possible.
Any suggestions? Will Garrett have a turbo to suit?
Cheers

Re: Any Recommendations for Turbo on the SE manifold
Nothing particularly common or modern which is why I made this beast.
This is exactly stock SE but tubular and fits T2x turbos, in this case a ball bearing T28.
The other option is welding a flange to the stock manifold, however you want to use a 25mm thick plate with the correct bolt pattern and 'port' it to transition the 2 port shapes.
Or send me 1200 dollars
Im kidding.
It doesnt cost 1200..

haha looks great, but I want a stock look with the heat shield!
Isn't welding to the cast a bad idea? Doesn't the heat weaken it and prepare it to crack in the future?

Re: Any Recommendations for Turbo on the SE manifold
Highly experienced welders -not me- using the correct filler rods can successfully weld to cast materials.
I suggest a mild steel log manifold with a T2x or EFR flange.
You will be able to use the stock heat shield too.

Any particular manifold you suggest?
Are there turbos that mount to this stock SE manifold?

Re: Any Recommendations for Turbo on the SE manifold
There are turbos that fit.
Im no expert on those turbos at all, however a bigger version will spool even worse.
Im recieved a deposit for a BP log for T25 and V Band downpipe from a forum member just half an hour ago. If you are interested I can do both at once. PM me.
Now I regret my 1200 dollars joke..

Have you looked into the BNR turbos? A mate of mine has a TD05-16G compressor somehow mated to the SE exhaust housing and it goes like a cut snake!!
